Leadership, Advisory, and Board Work - Grounded in Experience and Purpose

About Ken Gavranovic

Ken Gavranovic has spent his career working at the intersection of leadership, complexity, and change — in environments where decisions carried real consequences for people, organizations, and long-term outcomes. Across decades of executive leadership, he has learned that sustainable progress depends not only on strategy and execution, but on clarity, judgment, and the ability to lead through moments of uncertainty.

He has served as CEO of a Nasdaq-listed company, led product and technology organizations at multi-billion-dollar scale, and stepped into some of the most demanding executive roles organizations face during pivotal transitions. Those experiences shaped how he works today: steady, grounded, and focused on helping people and organizations move forward with intention.

A Career Shaped by Responsibility and Scale

As Founder and CEO of Web.com, Ken built the company from the ground up, scaling it to hundreds of millions in revenue and leading it through a successful public offering on Nasdaq. He later brought his leadership experience to New Relic during its scale-up years, helping guide platform strategy, align global teams, and support growth during a critical phase of the company’s evolution. At Cox Automotive, he led a major cloud and DevOps transformation across a multi-billion-dollar portfolio, modernizing systems and ways of working at enterprise scale.

Across these roles, Ken was consistently called into situations where momentum mattered, complexity was increasing, and leadership needed to be both decisive and steady. The work required not just execution, but the ability to see clearly, earn trust, and guide organizations through change without losing their footing.

How Ken Thinks About Leadership

Ken’s approach to leadership is practical, human-centered, and grounded in experience. He believes organizations function best when:

  • Leaders are aligned around what truly matters

  • Teams understand the purpose behind the work, not just the tasks

  • Strategy is translated into clear priorities and sustainable operating rhythms

  • Technology, product, and go-to-market operate as a cohesive system

  • Leaders create environments that support accountability, learning, and trust

Rather than adding noise or urgency, Ken focuses on simplifying complexity — helping leaders and teams see what matters most and move forward with confidence.

How Ken Works With Organizations

Organizations work with Ken when they need more than perspective alone — they need grounded support during moments of transition. Depending on the situation, his work typically takes one of two forms:

Leadership Support During Transition
Ken partners with leadership teams to navigate complexity, clarify priorities, stabilize execution, and strengthen alignment. His role is to help leaders think clearly, make thoughtful decisions, and build the conditions for sustainable progress.

Interim Executive Leadership (CEO, CPO, CTO, CPTO)
During high-stakes transitions, Ken steps in as an interim executive to provide stability, restore trust, and guide the organization forward while preparing the ground for long-term leadership success.

In both cases, the focus is not just on outcomes, but on how those outcomes are achieved — strengthening people, teams, and systems along the way.

What Distinguishes His Work

Ken’s perspective is shaped by a rare combination of experiences: founder and CEO, public-company operator, product and technology leader, growth-stage builder, enterprise transformer, investor, and advisor. He understands how strategy, technology, operations, culture, and leadership intersect — and how misalignment in any one of those areas can undermine the whole.

At this stage of his career, his work is guided by a simple commitment:

Clear judgment. Thoughtful leadership. Meaningful progress.

If your organization is navigating change, facing complexity, or entering a pivotal moment, Ken brings the experience and steadiness to help you move forward with clarity — and fewer unnecessary missteps.
